How do I complete ID Verification?

According to most state laws, ID Verification is required for Remote Online Notarization, sometimes known as Virtual Notarization.  This three part process consists of:

1.  Using a smart phone (on the Secured Signings and Pactima RON Platforms) or using your Webcam on your laptop, desktop or tablet (on Pactima Platform) you will receive a link to verify your ID.

2.  By clicking on the link, you will be asked to take a photo of the front of your ID and the back of your ID.

3.  You will be asked to take a selfie.

The system then analyzes the ID presented (in most cases either a US Valid Passport or a Driver's License) against the selfie and verifies the ID.

Once verified, you will be able to join the Signing Session.

If you are using a smart phone you will need either an Android phone or iPhone that is a current model using the most current operating system and can use Chrome on either phone or Safari on the iPhone.

You should perform ID Verification no later than 10 minutes prior to the start of the signing session.

Using Secured Signing - watch this video to complete the ID Verification process.
