If your document is notarized by a currently commissioned Arizona notary using online technology known as RON (Remote Online Notarization), it is VALID in all 50 states, US Territories and Washington, DC.

However, it is up to the signer to determine if the receiving party such as a recorder, court, corporation, state agency or other document recipient will ACCEPT the notarization completed with the RON process. This is not the responsibility of the notary or the AZ Roving Notary Agency to make this determination.

The Technology &  Safeguards Behind Every Remote Online Notarization

At AZ Roving Notary, your security is not an afterthought — it’s the foundation of every Remote Online Notarization (RON) we perform. From the moment you log in to your signing session until the final tamper-evident document is sealed and delivered to you over a secure server link, every layer of our process has been designed to ensure that your identity, your documents, and your data remain VERIFIED, ENCRYPTED, and PROTECTED. We are not responsible for any security issues that might arise from our third party providers.

ID Verification for Remote Online Notarization

VERIFIED: Advanced Identity Assurance

VERIFIED: Advanced Identity Assurance

Before any RON session begins, each signer must pass through a rigorous multi-factor ID verification process aligned with NIST IAL2 identity proofing guidance and fupported by SOC 2 Type II audit security controls at the platform level.

  • Credential Analysis: Government-issued IDs are authenticated using automated forensic checks that validate security features and detect tampering.

  • Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA): Signers must correctly answer identity questions generated from public records and identity-histor datasets.

  • Live Presence Detection: Using Realify™ Deep Fake Detection by Secured Signing, the system analyzes audio/video feed to help detect AI-generated or manipulated attempts - a capability built into the Secured Signing Remote Online Notarization platform and not a standard feature across all RON platforms.c

  • Digital Audit Trail: Each verification step is logged, time-stamped, and preserved with the notarial record for defensibility and long-term validation.

Your notarization isn’t just trusted — it’s verified with measurable digital proof.

All data and transactions are encrypted at AZ Roving Notary.

ENCRYPTED: Secure Data Transmission and Storage

Every document, video recording, and audit file associated with your signing session is fully encrypted both in transit and at rest during the signing session and during the statutory storage period.

  • AES-256 encryption ensures your data remains unreadable to unauthorized parties.

  • TLS 1.3 secure socket layer protocols protect all communication between your device and the platform.

  • End-to-End Encryption (E2EE): From your browser to our secure servers, your notarization data remains protected at every step.

  • SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 Compliance: Verified independent audits confirm adherence to the highest standards of data security and operational controls.

  • NIST Compliant

Your documents aren’t just stored — they’re encrypted within a zero-trust, compliance-verified environment.

Your Documents Your PPI all protected.

Protected: Tamper-Evident Technology and Long-Term Safeguards

When your notarization is complete, each signed document is sealed using tamper-evident digital certificates issued by trusted root authorities. Any alteration, even a single pixel, voids the certificate and is instantly detectable.

  • Digital Certificate Signatures: Embedded cryptographically to confirm document integrity.

  • Immutable Audit Trails: Every signer action — from login to signature — is permanently recorded and timestamped.

  • EverSecure™ Digital Vault: Completed RON records and eWills can be stored under Arizona’s Qualified Custodian framework, ensuring long-term access and legal admissibility under A.R.S. §14-2520/2521.

  • Privacy by Design: Data minimization and access control protocols ensure that your information is never shared or sold.

From verification to archival, your notarization is protected by layered defenses built for the digital age.
