What Causes the Identification Verification Process to Fail

DOWNLOAD THE RON REQUIREMENTS

In this video you will come to understand why the ID Verification is the most important part of the signing process.  If it fails, the notary cannot complete the notarization of your documents.  Every signer and witness who requires a signature verification must pass ID Verification unless the signer or witness knows the notary personally.

There are two parts to the ID Verification process: The knowledge based authentication quiz and the credential analysis with facial recognition.  Both parts of the process must pass and the results are logged into the Electronic Notary Journal and Audit Trail.

Once the ID verification process has been successfully completed your RON session, depending on the number of documents, signers and witnesses, will only take a few minutes.

When you have finished watching the video - you can download a RON Requirements document by clicking on the ORANGE BUTTON above. This document contains all of the requirements for the signer as well as information for the notary to set up the remote online session.
