Computer Requirements for Remote Online Notarizations
- Computer: Desktop or Laptop Computer w/webcam and microphone**
(Ask us if your session qualifies for a smart phone or tablet/not available to all signers). - Browser: Chrome setup to work with webcam, microphone, screen sharing, screen recording & pop-ups.***
- All browser tabs must be closed except for the signing portal and your email.
- All applications must be closed except for the Signing Portal and your email.
- System tested to work with platform from provided test**
- WiFi - Consistent, Reliable and Fast (at least 100mbs - Broadband at 300mbs+ preferred)
- Smart phone capable of sending/receiving SMS texts and emails; capable of photographing an ID and uploading it to the portal through a browser; cell service or wifi at full strength.
- For VPN and Firewalls, we will provide domain name and email addresses to Whitelist prior to the session starting. This takes some companies a while to setup so leave enough time.**
** Our notaries provide process support but not technical support during the session.
*** Sometimes we are using a third party video conferencing tool. If that is the case we will let you know in advance so you can set your browser up for Zoom or GotoMeeting.
